Getting around San Angelo
San Angelo grew up where the North and South Concho rivers meet, and most of what visitors come for sits within a short drive of downtown. The Cactus Hotel, Conrad Hilton's 14-story 1929 tower at Twohig and Oakes, now hosts events; the McNease Convention Center is at 501 Rio Concho Drive by the river. Angelo State's Junell Center is at 2235 South Jackson Street, and the coliseum that anchors the stock show stands at 50 East 43rd Street. Goodfellow Air Force Base is about 10 miles from SJT, with its two gates on Paint Rock Road and South Chadbourne Street.
Two seasons fill the calendar. The livestock show starts in early February and the PRCA rodeo runs April 2 to 18, 2027, with a downtown parade on its first Saturday. Graduations come next: Angelo State in mid-December and mid-May, plus Goodfellow's training classes finishing all year.
Airport pickup service in San Angelo and beyond
San Angelo Regional (SJT), also called Mathis Field, is a 15-minute drive from downtown, roughly 10 miles; American Eagle jets to DFW are its only airline service. The airport's page publishes no pickup spot for prearranged cars, so your chauffeur parks in the lot and comes inside. When the DFW connection doesn't suit, Midland (MAF) is about 122 miles away, DFW 254 and Austin about 210; each of those runs is priced as one transfer, and a mini coach can serve as a shuttle service for a team or wedding group.
Rodeo nights, weddings and base visits in San Angelo
Rodeo and concerts. An hourly charter covers the run to the coliseum on 43rd Street, the evening inside, and the drive back to the hotel.
Weddings. Riverside receptions at Pearl on the Concho or the McNease hall, or an evening in the Cactus Hotel's event rooms. A sedan or SUV carries the couple while a Sprinter brings the wedding party.
Goodfellow and executive travel. Sedans between SJT, the hotels and the base gates, plus rides for visitors to Shannon Medical Center on East Harris Avenue.
Wine days. Listed tasting rooms on East Concho Avenue downtown, a vineyard listed near Christoval 20 miles south, or the longer haul to Fredericksburg.
Vehicles available through our San Angelo partners
Executive sedans (up to 3 passengers), luxury SUVs (up to 5), Mercedes Sprinter vans (up to 14), party buses and stretch limousines sized to your group, and mini coaches and motorcoaches (27 to 56) for Angelo State graduation crowds, rodeo groups or Goodfellow class reunions. Exact capacity is confirmed in your quote, because partner vehicles vary.

My wife and I worked with Igor and Limo SF VIP for our wedding. They did an absolutely amazing job. They provided both a luxury sprinter van to carry the bridal party and groomsmen to a first look sight at the busy palace of fine arts and then to the venue and provided luxury ~50-person bus for guests to leave venue. All of the drivers were responsive, and kind. At the end of the night the bus driver even spent an extra ~30 minutes driving the late-night party crew to several different bars after some we intended to go were closed. Overall, 6/5 service. Their prices are fair, and the team is wonderful to work with. I'd highly recommend Limo SF VIP to anyone looking for coach, private limo, or large party needs.Posted on Google![]()

Excellent service! As I was boarding my flight on my way to SFO I was able to book and confirm the service last minute, so quickly. Our driver waited for us by baggage claim and helped us out with our numerous bags. The car was also fabulous! Arriving to SF in style!Posted on Google![]()

San Angelo limo and car service questions
In the place Mathis Field’s rules allow for a booked car, and we pass that location along before your trip. The city’s page for San Angelo Regional (SJT), at 8618 Terminal Circle, says local taxis run continuously from in front of the building, but the page publishes no pickup spot for prearranged cars. The terminal opens at 5 am and stays open until half an hour after the last arrival, so a late DFW flight is covered. Put the flight number on the booking and we time the meeting to the actual landing.
Often, yes. SJT has a single route, American Eagle to DFW, so one cancelled hop can strand you overnight. Midland International (MAF) sits about 122 miles northwest, roughly 2 hours 20 by road, and gives you a second airport to book through. Driving straight from DFW is 254 miles and close to 4 and a half hours; Austin is about 210 miles and about four hours. Any of those runs is quoted at one fixed figure for the whole drive, and a family with bags usually fits a 14-seat Sprinter.
Yes, as an hourly charter. The 2027 rodeo runs April 2 to 18 at the grounds on West 43rd Street, with evening shows at 7 pm, Saturday matinees at 1, the Xtreme Bulls on Sunday, April 11 and the Cinch Championship Finals on Saturday, April 17. The 5,260-seat coliseum at 50 East 43rd, was called Foster Communications Coliseum until March 2025. The charter covers the drive there, the hours of the performance and the trip back to your hotel.
By a pickup corner set off the parade route. The parade runs on the rodeo's first Saturday, April 3, 2027, starting at Irving and Concho, then along Oakes, Twohig, Chadbourne, College, Irving, Beauregard and Randolph before finishing at River Drive. Plan on those blocks being shut to cars while it passes, and note that the Cactus Hotel at Twohig and Oakes sits right on the route. We name a street on your quote that sits outside the route, and dinner plans after the parade has cleared run as usual.
Yes. Fall 2026 commencement is Saturday, December 12 at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena, 2235 South Jackson Street, with Education, Science and Engineering, and Business at 10 am and the Health and Human Services and Arts and Humanities colleges at 2 pm. Spring 2027 ceremonies fall on May 14 and 15. Check which session your graduate walks in, then send us the flights. A Sprinter seats up to 14, so grandparents, the graduate and the cap and gown travel together from SJT to the arena and on to dinner.
That a sponsor on base, often the trainee, has to vouch for you; the base’s rules decide entry. Goodfellow’s 17th Training Wing teaches intelligence and firefighting to students from the Air Force, Space Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps, about 3,500 at any time and more than 10,000 graduates a year. The Visitor Control Center keeps weekday hours, so weekend arrivals plan the sponsor meeting ahead, and visitors bring a driver’s license. The chauffeur drops you at the North Gate off Paint Rock Road or the South Gate off South Chadbourne, whichever your trainee names.
Yes, sedans and SUVs on a schedule you set. Shannon Medical Center, at 120 East Harris Avenue downtown, is a Level 3 trauma center serving a 25-county region, so a visit there can involve visiting doctors, equipment reps or job candidates. One workable plan is the airport to a hotel near the river, the hotel to Harris Avenue each morning, and a final run to SJT or Midland. Send the full itinerary and every leg appears on one written quote, so the person you are hosting never has to call for a ride.
The vehicle, the hours and the trip type. Each vehicle has its own hourly rate and its own minimum number of hours, so a stretch limousine for prom night is priced differently from a sedan to dinner. The date affects availability, so rodeo weeks and graduation Saturdays are worth asking about early. Long runs to Midland, Austin or DFW are quoted as one transfer price. The gratuity is fixed at 20% and appears as its own line on your bill, so nobody needs cash for the driver.
With the city’s Code Compliance Division at 52 West College Avenue, beside City Hall, which issues San Angelo’s limousine permits. The application asks for a compliance bond under Section 5.607 of the city code, a certificate of insurance under Section 5.618, and a list of drivers with their chauffeur license numbers. Party buses and coaches also answer to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Our San Angelo rides use partner operators based in the area, so that office is the place to ask about a company’s permit.
We call you before the storm rather than after it. On July 4, 2025, up to 14 inches of rain fell overnight, Houston Harte was underwater at the Bell Street overpass, and US 87 South, US 67 North and several farm roads closed. If a flood watch goes up for your date, we ring you ahead of time so you can leave earlier or later. The chauffeur decides on the spot whether a low-water crossing is passable, and the weather delay and cancellation terms sit in the quote you signed off on.
These are the dated events on the San Angelo calendar that draw crowds. The February livestock show, with market shows from February 6, 2027. The PRCA rodeo, April 2 to 18, 2027, with the parade on Saturday, April 3 and the Cinch Championship Finals on April 17. Angelo State commencement on December 12, 2026 and May 14 to 15, 2027. Spring prom Saturdays and quinceañeras at the McNease Convention Center, which takes private bookings a year ahead. If your date matches one of these, send it in as soon as it is set.
Yes, as a short hourly charter. Fort Concho sits where the North and South Concho rivers meet, inside San Angelo, and the Army set it up in November 1867. Its 40 acres hold 23 limestone buildings around a parade ground, once home to the 4th Cavalry and then the 10th Cavalry’s Buffalo Soldiers. It became a National Historic Landmark in 1961, and its museum dates to 1929. A Sprinter seats up to 14, waits while you walk the grounds and takes everyone on to dinner.
