Limo SF VIP books private car service at San José Mineta International Airport (SJC): a sedan, SUV or Sprinter set for your flight, then a direct ride to your hotel, office or home in Santa Clara, Cupertino, Palo Alto or San Francisco. The airport sits about 3 miles northwest of downtown San Jose, by US-101, I-880 and CA-87. Send the flight number, the drop-off address and how many are riding, and a quote is usually ready in 15 to 30 minutes. Or call (888) 888-0195.
Where your chauffeur meets you at SJC
Inside the terminal. Our chauffeur comes in to meet you and helps with the luggage, then walks you out to the car. SJC's rules allow exactly this for prearranged limos: the chauffeur may leave the vehicle to meet the party inside, carrying a trip waybill prepared before you land.
The car itself loads at the spots the airport publishes for prearranged limousines, away from the rideshare islands:
- Terminal A: first floor of Hourly Lot 2, the Terminal A Garage, outside baggage claim.
- Terminal A international arrivals: Stop 3, on the south-east side of Hourly Lot 2.
- Terminal B: Hourly Lot 5, outside baggage claim.
If a stranger offers you a ride inside the building, walk on. SJC bans soliciting passengers and tells travelers to ignore those offers.
SJC terminals, airlines and private jet arrivals
SJC has two terminals. Terminal A (opened 1990) handles American, Delta, Frontier, United and Volaris. Terminal B (opened 2010) handles Alaska, Hawaiian, Southwest and ZIPAIR. Hawaiian has checked in at Terminal B, next to Alaska, since June 18, 2025, so an old itinerary note pointing you to A is out of date.
Flying private? Signature San Jose at 323 Martin Avenue runs 24/7 and has onsite customs; Atlantic Aviation at 1250 Aviation Avenue is also open around the clock. Give us the FBO name and arrival time and the car goes there, not to the terminals.
One construction note: Taxiway Victor work scheduled to begin in fall 2026 is on the airfield, and the airport's project page lists no curb change for it.
Rides from SJC and drive times
Road miles are measured; the minutes are without traffic, so allow more at busy times.
- San Jose McEnery Convention Center: 4.1 miles, about 10 minutes.
- Santa Clara Convention Center: 5.2 miles, about 10 minutes.
- Levi's Stadium: 5.5 miles, about 11 minutes.
- Apple Park, Cupertino: 5.8 miles, about 14 minutes.
- Googleplex, Mountain View: 11.3 miles, about 17 minutes.
- Stanford University: 17.2 miles, about 29 minutes.
- Union Square, San Francisco: 46.3 miles, about an hour.
- Pebble Beach Golf Links: 80 miles, a little over an hour and a half.
Airport car service for business, groups and game days
Business travel. A sedan from Terminal A straight to a morning meeting in Cupertino or Mountain View, with the return to SJC on the same quote. Extra stops are added to the fare.
Families and groups. A Sprinter carries up to 14 people with up to 14 bags. If your group needs more than one car, SJC asks operators to clear multi-vehicle pickups with Airport Landside Operations ahead of time, so tell us at booking.
Levi's Stadium and convention days. The 49ers host Washington on October 19 and the Raiders on November 8, and Bruno Mars plays the stadium October 10 and 11, 2026. An hourly charter keeps the car on hand after the final whistle or encore.
Monterey and Pebble Beach. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is 76 miles from the airport and Pebble Beach 80.
Vehicles for SJC pickups
- Executive sedan: up to 3 passengers.
- Luxury SUV: up to 5.
- Mercedes Sprinter: up to 14, with up to 14 bags.
- Mini coach: 27 to 36.
- Motorcoach: up to 56.
Capacity is confirmed in your quote.

I've been using Limo SV VIP in San Francisco for over two years, and the experience has always been fantastic. Their operation is very detailed, with a fast response time and an excellent attitude, even with last-minute changes. If you're in San Francisco, trust me, use them. Limo SF vip I highly recommend itPosted on Google Benjamin RudinskiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I worked with Igor and Limo SF VIP for our wedding. They did an absolutely amazing job. They provided both a luxury sprinter van to carry the bridal party and groomsmen to a first look sight at the busy palace of fine arts and then to the venue and provided luxury ~50-person bus for guests to leave venue. All of the drivers were responsive, and kind. At the end of the night the bus driver even spent an extra ~30 minutes driving the late-night party crew to several different bars after some we intended to go were closed. Overall, 6/5 service. Their prices are fair, and the team is wonderful to work with. I'd highly recommend Limo SF VIP to anyone looking for coach, private limo, or large party needs.Posted on Google Viviana MárquezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent service! As I was boarding my flight on my way to SFO I was able to book and confirm the service last minute, so quickly. Our driver waited for us by baggage claim and helped us out with our numerous bags. The car was also fabulous! San Jose airport car service questions
The chauffeur finds you. Our chauffeur walks into your terminal, meets you there and takes the luggage, which SJC's rules permit for prearranged limo passengers as long as the chauffeur carries a waybill written before you land. From there you walk together to where the car loads. For Terminal A that is the ground floor of Hourly Lot 2, the Terminal A Garage, past baggage claim. For Terminal B it is Hourly Lot 5, also past baggage claim. Tell us the airline and we'll know which building.
Your pickup is timed to the arrival the airline posts, not the one printed on your ticket, and the first 40 minutes after that posted time are free. So a Southwest or United flight that slips an hour simply moves the start of the wait. Put the flight number on the booking. If you are still not out after those 40 minutes, for example because bags are slow at Terminal B, each further 15 minutes is billed at the vehicle's hourly rate.
It loads at Stop 3, on the south-east side of Hourly Lot 2, the spot SJC publishes for prearranged limos serving Terminal A international arrivals. That differs from the Lot 2 ground floor used by domestic Terminal A passengers, so mention on the booking that you are flying in from abroad. Our chauffeur meets you inside once you're through and handles the bags on the walk out. The 40 free minutes run from the posted landing time, and a slow passport line can use some of them.
Yes, app rides run from SJC, but from other spots. In Terminal A, Uber, Lyft, Tesla and Wingz use Stop 1 on the arrivals curb and the ground transportation island, with Waymo at Stop 9. In Terminal B, Uber and Tesla are at Stop 8, Uber also at Stop 9, Lyft and Wingz at Stop 10, and Waymo at Stop 7. Even Uber Black and Lyft Black go to those stops. A chauffeured car booked ahead uses the limo spots by Lots 2 and 5 instead.
For a downtown San Jose hotel about 3 miles away, an app ride or an on-demand taxi (Terminal A Stop 2, Terminal B Stop 1) is the quick, simple option for one or two people with light bags. A booked car makes more sense when you land late, travel with a family or a pile of luggage, need a hotel in Palo Alto or San Francisco, or want the price and a named pickup point settled before you fly. Then the car is already waiting at Lot 2 or Lot 5.
It depends on how many of you there are: a shared shuttle charges by the seat and stops for other riders, while a taxi or private car is one price for the vehicle, so the per-person math changes with group size. For a booked car the quote moves with vehicle size, distance from SJC (4 miles to McEnery Convention Center is not 46 to Union Square), extra stops, waiting beyond the free 40 minutes, and the date. A 20% gratuity on the fare, stops and waiting is itemized on the bill.
Either works, and the trade-off is waiting time against vehicle count. A Sprinter seats up to 14 with as many as 14 bags, so it fits the whole group, but holding it for the second flight past the free window adds billed waiting. Two smaller cars can leave as each flight lands. If you choose more than one vehicle, SJC requires the operator to arrange multi-car pickups with Airport Landside Operations ahead of time, and it may assign a staging spot, so mention the plan at booking.
Close for the South Bay, farther for the city. Measured by road, Levi's Stadium is 5.5 miles from the terminals, about 11 minutes without traffic, and Apple Park in Cupertino is 5.8 miles, about 14. Stanford is 17.2 miles, roughly half an hour, while Union Square in San Francisco is 46.3 miles, about an hour on clear roads. Those are free-flow times, so real drives at busy hours run longer; say if you have a fixed meeting or kickoff time and the pickup is planned around it.
Work backwards from your airline's bag-drop cutoff, then add the drive. Downtown Palo Alto to SJC is 16.7 miles, about 26 minutes with empty roads. Tell us the airline so the car heads to the right building: American, Delta, Frontier, United and Volaris fly from Terminal A; Alaska, Hawaiian, Southwest and ZIPAIR from Terminal B. The chauffeur drops you at the departures curb, and the pickup time is set with you when you book.
You can ask for one when you book; it isn't guaranteed, so check that your written confirmation mentions the seat, and if it doesn't, pack your own. Landing with a small child at San José Mineta is easier than it sounds, though. Our chauffeur heads inside to greet you and carries the bags, so you are not juggling a stroller and suitcases on the walk to Hourly Lot 2 or Lot 5. Tell us the child's age when booking so the request is clear.
Every ride gets a quote, normally back to you 15 to 30 minutes after you ask, and is paid through a secure online link; Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted. List every traveler's flight so each pickup follows its own arrival. Apple Park is 5.8 miles from SJC and the Googleplex in Mountain View 11.3 miles, so a sedan can bring someone in for a morning meeting, and the return to the airport can go on the same quote.
Because both are off-limits to commercial cars. The free Cell Phone Waiting Area at 2470 Airport Boulevard is posted no commercial vehicles, with a 30-minute cap for everyone else, and unattended cars there are ticketed and towed. The terminal curbs are for active loading only. Limos with an airport permit may stage only in a designated staging area and load at the limo spots by Hourly Lots 2 and 5. So the car is left only where those rules allow, and our chauffeur comes inside the terminal to find you.
