Getting around Huntington

Huntington sits on the Ohio River where West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio meet and the Robert C. Byrd Bridge crosses to Ohio. Downtown runs on numbered avenues: Pullman Square on 3rd Avenue, the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center at 925 4th Avenue, the Marshall Health Network Arena at One Civic Center Plaza. Joan C. Edwards Stadium, Marshall's football home, is at 2001 3rd Avenue.

Two airports serve the city. Tri-State is close by; Yeager in Charleston, 55 miles up I-64, has more airlines and more nonstops.

Tri-State Airport (HTS) is about 9 miles and 16 minutes from downtown, near Kenova and Ceredo, with Allegiant flights to Florida and American to Charlotte. Its curb is for active loading only, so the chauffeur parks in the main lot, where the first 30 minutes are free, and meets you inside. West Virginia International Yeager (CRW) is about an hour away; Lexington (132 miles), Columbus (139) and Cincinnati (153) are longer runs. Each of those transfers is priced as one trip. A Huntington limo service booking can also start or end in Charleston: a downtown hotel, the Coliseum and Convention Center at 200 Civic Center Drive, or the Clay Center.

Event transportation, weddings and executive travel in Huntington

Marshall game days and commencement. An hourly charter covers the drop near Joan C. Edwards Stadium, the wait and the ride back; the 2026 home slate ends with Georgia State on November 21. Spring commencement is Saturday, May 8, 2027, at the arena.

Weddings. Heritage Farm Museum and Village at 3300 Harvey Road, the historic Keith-Albee and the downtown hotels all sit within a short drive of each other. Tell us how many guests need moving and we'll size the vehicles.

Executive and medical travel. Sedans between HTS or CRW and Cabell Huntington Hospital, St. Mary's Medical Center at 2900 First Avenue, or the Marshall campus, with the trip home on the same quote.

Nights out and day trips. Concerts at the arena, ChiliFest on 3rd Avenue (October 17, 2026), or a Sprinter round trip to Mardi Gras Casino at I-64 Exit 47 in Cross Lanes.

My wife and I worked with Igor and Limo SF VIP for our wedding. They did an absolutely amazing job. They provided both a luxury sprinter van to carry the bridal party and groomsmen to a first look sight at the busy palace of fine arts and then to the venue and provided luxury ~50-person bus for guests to leave venue. All of the drivers were responsive, and kind. At the end of the night the bus driver even spent an extra ~30 minutes driving the late-night party crew to several different bars after some we intended to go were closed. Overall, 6/5 service. Their prices are fair, and the team is wonderful to work with. I'd highly recommend Limo SF VIP to anyone looking for coach, private limo, or large party needs.

Excellent service! As I was boarding my flight on my way to SFO I was able to book and confirm the service last minute, so quickly. Our driver waited for us by baggage claim and helped us out with our numerous bags. The car was also fabulous! Arriving to SF in style!

Huntington limo and airport shuttle questions

No, Tri-State doesn’t post one, so the car parks in the main lot and the exact spot is written on your quote. HTS sits in Wayne County near Ceredo and Kenova, and its parking page names no limousine zone; the strip in front of the terminal is for active loading and unloading only. That lot’s first half hour costs nothing to park. Share the flight number and a delay simply shifts the pickup, and 40 minutes of waiting are free past the official posted arrival. Downtown Huntington is about 9 miles off.

When the flight you need isn’t sold at HTS. Tri-State has Allegiant to Florida and American to Charlotte; West Virginia International Yeager (CRW) adds Delta, United and Breeze, with nonstops to Atlanta, Chicago O’Hare, Newark, Washington National and more. Yeager is 55 miles and about an hour east on I-64, so count that hour plus your check-in time when you pick the departure. Lexington is 132 miles, Columbus 139 and Cincinnati 153, two and a quarter to three hours. Any of them is quoted as a single trip.

Yes to both, and one booking can cover the two. Our partner operators cover Charleston as well as Huntington, so a limousine can collect you at a Charleston hotel, the Coliseum and Convention Center at 200 Civic Center Drive or the Clay Center and bring you the 50 miles west to Huntington, or run the other way for a Charleston dinner or show. A straight ride between the two cities is priced as one trip; an evening that starts in Huntington, waits in Charleston and comes home is an hourly charter.

Book an hourly charter and agree the meeting corner in advance. Joan C. Edwards Stadium sits on campus at 2001 3rd Avenue and holds 38,000, so instead of searching for the car in the crowd you get a pickup corner a few blocks from the gates, written on the quote. The chauffeur drops you, waits out the game and is on that corner when it ends. Marshall's remaining 2026 home games are Coastal Carolina on October 10, South Alabama on Tuesday, October 20, Appalachian State on November 14 and Georgia State on November 21.

Yeager if its schedule fits, Tri-State if a Charlotte or Florida connection works, and book the car once the flights are bought. Spring commencement is Saturday, May 8, 2027, at the Marshall Health Network Arena, One Civic Center Plaza, and the residence halls close at noon the next day. One quote can cover the airport arrival, the ride to the arena, dinner afterward and the flight home. If a graduate is moving out at the same time, a Sprinter seats up to 14 and takes up to 14 bags.

Yes. Cabell Huntington Hospital is a Level II trauma center and the teaching hospital for Marshall’s Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine; St. Mary’s Medical Center at 2900 First Avenue has 413 beds. A physician coming to interview, or relatives visiting a patient, can be met at HTS or CRW and driven to a hotel and the hospital, priced per trip in a sedan or SUV. If the day covers both hospitals and the medical school, book it by the hour and the car stays with you between stops.

Yes. The Marshall Health Network Arena at One Civic Center Plaza holds 7,500 for arena events, and the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center, a 1928 theater, is at 925 4th Avenue; both are a short drive from Pullman Square. Booked hourly, the vehicle can also cover dinner downtown before the show. ChiliFest closes 3rd Avenue between 7th and 12th Streets on October 17, 2026, so that Saturday we set the meeting point off the closed blocks and say where on the quote.

Distance, hours and the calendar. A Yeager transfer covers about 55 miles each way against roughly 9 to Tri-State, and each is quoted as a single run, while a charter is billed by the hour against the vehicle’s minimum. Saturdays price highest, as do the prom and wedding months, so Marshall home Saturdays and commencement weekend are worth reserving early. There is no cash tip to hand over: 20 percent goes on the bill as its own line. The written price usually follows 15 to 30 minutes after you ask.

Mainly insurance. West Virginia code defines luxury limousine service as prearranged rides with a set minimum charge, a formally dressed chauffeur and a large luxury sedan, SUV or van. Those operators skip the Public Service Commission certificate other carriers apply for, but stay under its safety rules and insurance requirements, renewed yearly. PSC Rule 150CSR9 sets $100,000 per person and $200,000 per accident for vehicles carrying five or fewer, more for larger vans. To check a carrier’s filing, call the PSC’s Motor Carrier Section at 1-800-247-8789.

It would move the pickup, and you’d hear from us first. The January 24 to 26, 2026 storm left about a quarter inch of freezing rain at Tri-State Airport and 1.6 inches of snow in town; Huntington averages close to 20 inches of snow a season. When ice is forecast, we phone you ahead with two options, leaving earlier or rebooking for another day. On the morning itself the chauffeur judges whether I-64 is passable, and your quote lays out what happens to the booking in bad weather or if you cancel.

Start with Marshall: the remaining 2026 home games through Georgia State on November 21, and spring commencement on Saturday, May 8, 2027. Then the downtown festivals, which come back every year. The West Virginia Hot Dog Festival took over Pullman Square and Third Avenue for its 22nd year on June 6, 2026, and ChiliFest, home of the state chili championship, is on 3rd Avenue on October 17, 2026. For a Sprinter or stretch on any of those dates, send the request the day your plans settle.

Yes, and it’s close to town. Camden Park, at 5000 Waverly Road in Huntington, is an amusement park with more than 115 years behind it, with major rides, a Kiddie Land section and games, and group packages through its ticket office. In October it runs a Halloween event on Friday and Saturday nights. A 14-passenger Sprinter on an hourly charter takes a birthday or youth group out and back together, and the return time goes on the quote.
