Getting around Laredo

Laredo sits on the Rio Grande at the southern end of I-35, which ends at the Juárez-Lincoln Bridge just east of downtown. The historic core is the San Agustín district, with La Posada Hotel at 1000 Zaragoza Street and the Laredo Center for the Arts at 500 San Agustín Avenue. The newer hotels, Uni-Trade Stadium at 6320 Sinatra Parkway and Sames Auto Arena at 6700 Arena Boulevard are on the north side along Loop 20; the airport is three miles northeast of downtown.

Plan around two local realities. The first is Washington's Birthday Celebration, which runs from mid-January to the end of February and draws about 400,000 people; the two parades run south on San Bernardo Avenue, and in 2027 the Youth Parade is Thursday, February 18 and the main parade Saturday, February 20. The second is the weather: Laredo averages 74 days a year over 100 degrees, and a summer downpour can close a string of intersections for an afternoon, as on June 15, 2026.

Airport limousine, shuttle and transportation service from Laredo

Laredo International (LRD) has four gates and a handful of daily flights to Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas and Monterrey, so the chauffeur parks in the hourly lot and meets you at baggage claim. For San Antonio International (165 miles, about 2 hours 35), Austin (238 miles) and Corpus Christi (about 142 miles), each run is priced as one transfer in a sedan, SUV or Sprinter.

Executive travel, events and nights out in Laredo

Executive and cross-border business. Sedans and SUVs between LRD, the north-side hotels and offices downtown, with the ride back to the airport on the same quote. Rides stay on the US side; if you need a drop-off at a bridge plaza, say so on the quote.

Washington's Birthday Celebration. Hourly charters for the Jalapeño Festival at Sames Auto Arena (February 5 and 6, 2027), the Colonial Pageant and Ball, and the parade mornings, with the pickup corner set off San Bernardo.

Weddings, quinceañeras and prom. A sedan or SUV for the couple and a Sprinter or party bus for the party, between a San Agustín church, La Posada and the event halls out on Riverside and Endeavor Drive.

Concerts, games and VIP transportation for groups. Sames Auto Arena shows, Tecolotes games at Uni-Trade Stadium, and TAMIU commencement on December 10, 2026 and May 13, 2027, as an hourly charter so the same vehicle is waiting when it lets out.

My wife and I worked with Igor and Limo SF VIP for our wedding. They did an absolutely amazing job. They provided both a luxury sprinter van to carry the bridal party and groomsmen to a first look sight at the busy palace of fine arts and then to the venue and provided luxury ~50-person bus for guests to leave venue. All of the drivers were responsive, and kind. At the end of the night the bus driver even spent an extra ~30 minutes driving the late-night party crew to several different bars after some we intended to go were closed. Overall, 6/5 service. Their prices are fair, and the team is wonderful to work with. I'd highly recommend Limo SF VIP to anyone looking for coach, private limo, or large party needs.

Excellent service! As I was boarding my flight on my way to SFO I was able to book and confirm the service last minute, so quickly. Our driver waited for us by baggage claim and helped us out with our numerous bags. The car was also fabulous! Arriving to SF in style!

Laredo limousine and VIP transportation questions

In the airport’s hourly lot, at a meeting spot your quote spells out. Laredo International, at 5210 Bob Bullock Loop, is a four-gate terminal served by United Express, American Eagle, Allegiant and Aerus, and it has its own US customs facility. The vehicle waits in the hourly lot while you collect your bags, and downtown is only three miles away. Give us the flight number and a late arrival moves the pickup with it.

It comes down to the flight list and the head count. LRD is three miles from downtown but serves only a handful of routes: Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas and Monterrey. San Antonio International, 165 miles north on I-35 and about 2 hours 35 by road, has far more nonstops, which can spare a group a connection. For six or more travelers, compare the cost of one Sprinter against several extra connecting tickets. We price that drive as one fixed transfer, and Austin (238 miles) or Corpus Christi (about 142) the same way.

Book it as an hourly charter and the vehicle is waiting when you walk out. The 2027 Jalapeño Festival runs Friday and Saturday, February 5 and 6, from 6 pm to 1 am at Sames Auto Arena, 6700 Arena Boulevard, and the WBCA carnival takes over the arena parking lot from February 11 to 22. We agree a meeting point along Arena Boulevard or at one of the north-side hotels with you on the quote, and the car that brings you stays parked through the night and drives you home afterwards.

Yes, from a side street clear of the route. Both parades run south on San Bernardo Avenue: the Youth Parade Under the Stars on Thursday, February 18, 2027 at 6 pm, and the Budweiser Washington’s Birthday Parade on Saturday, February 20 at 9 am, with the International Bridge Ceremony at the Juárez-Lincoln Bridge at 7:30 that morning. San Bernardo and the cross streets close early, so we set the pickup east or west of the route and print the corner on your quote. Book that weekend as early as you can.

Texas A&M International holds commencement on Thursday, December 10, 2026 and Thursday, May 13, 2027, with pre-commencement ceremonies the day or two before each. Flying into LRD is the shortest route: the airport is three miles from downtown and a short drive from the 300-acre campus. If fares are better into San Antonio, we price the 165-mile drive as one transfer, and a Sprinter carries the graduate, parents and grandparents to the ceremony and the dinner afterwards on a single booking.

Yes. Laredo is the largest inland port of entry in the country, with hundreds of customs brokerages and warehouses, and a business visit can mean moving between LRD, the north-side hotels, offices downtown near IBC Bank's headquarters, and the World Trade Bridge approach. A sedan or SUV covers airport to hotel and hotel to the meeting. Put the ride back to LRD on the same quote as your arrival, so the airport run is already on the schedule even if the meeting goes long.

Laredo prices hang on five things: which vehicle, how many hours, that vehicle’s hourly floor, how far a transfer goes, and the date. Saturdays, plus the stretch of prom and wedding dates, are the dearest; a Washington’s Birthday weekend or TAMIU commencement is one to reserve well ahead. A run to LRD or San Antonio carries a per-trip price, while festival nights, weddings and quinceañeras run by the hour. Gratuity is a fixed 20%, listed on its own line, and the written figure usually reaches your inbox 15 to 30 minutes after the request.

Two levels. Texas requires vehicles built for more than 15 people, driver included, to be registered with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, and that registration comes with much higher insurance requirements. Smaller sedans, SUVs and Sprinters are licensed by the City of Laredo under its vehicles-for-hire code (Chapter 32). Our Laredo rides are run by local partner operators. To check a carrier’s license, ask the City of Laredo about the smaller vehicles and TxDMV about the bus-sized ones.

We get in touch before the weather does. Laredo averages 74 days a year above 100 degrees, and its 19 inches of rain tend to arrive in bursts: on June 15, 2026 one storm shut Jacaman Road, Hillside at McPherson and Mines Road at Las Cruces for the afternoon. If a flood watch or a closure is forecast for your date, we phone ahead and offer an earlier or later time. On the day itself the chauffeur judges whether a route is safe to drive, and your quote spells out the weather and cancellation terms.

The whole Washington’s Birthday Celebration, mid-January to the end of February, with the Jalapeño Festival on February 5 and 6, 2027 and the parade weekend of February 18 to 20 at the top; the Stars and Stripes Air Show at the airport on February 28, 2027; TAMIU commencement on December 10, 2026 and May 13, 2027; and prom season, which recently has fallen in early May. If you need a party bus, stretch limousine or Sprinter on one of those dates, lock it in the moment your plans are set.

Yes, and it’s close to home. The park is at 5102 Bob Bullock Loop, minutes from the Mexican border, around a 1,680-acre reservoir with swimming, a fishing pier, hiking and mountain-bike trails, picnic areas and playgrounds. Gates open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. A 14-passenger Sprinter fits a Laredo reunion or youth group, either as an hourly charter that waits or as a drop-off with a set return time. Give us the times and the charter goes on the quote.

Rides we arrange stay on the US side. We can drop you at or collect you from the Juárez-Lincoln Bridge plaza at the foot of I-35, which carries buses and passenger cars only and runs 24 hours, or at the Gateway to the Americas Bridge downtown, and you walk or ride across from there. Whether a particular partner vehicle can cross into Nuevo Laredo or continue to Monterrey depends on that operator’s permits and insurance: ask when you book and we’ll tell you what is possible for your date.
