Limo SF VIP runs private car service at Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK), the East Bay airport that was formerly Oakland International. Our chauffeurs take you from the terminal to downtown Oakland, Berkeley, the Tri-Valley or across the Bay Bridge into San Francisco in a sedan, SUV or Sprinter. If you're sorting out Oakland airport transportation for a trip, send the flight number, the drop-off and how many are riding, and a quote comes back in 15 to 30 minutes. Or call (888) 888-0195.
Where your chauffeur meets you at OAK
OAK doesn't publish a named curb for limousines. Its rules send prearranged cars to loading areas set by the airport's Landside Operations Manager, and the rideshare signs you'll see on the 3rd Curb (Sections 3C2 to 3C9) are for app rides, not for us.
So the chauffeur parks and comes in for you. OAK allows prearranged drivers to meet passengers inside the terminal, and ours carry a sign with your name and help with your bags out to the car. Limo drivers can't circle the terminal loop or idle at the curb, which is one more reason the meet happens indoors.
OAK terminals, airlines and private flights
OAK has two terminals. Terminal 1 serves every airline, Southwest included; Terminal 2 is Southwest only. That split matters for Southwest flyers, so check your boarding pass and tell us which one. Alaska, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, Volaris and Advanced Air fly from OAK too, and Frontier returned on August 20, 2026 with Las Vegas flights.
JSX uses its own private terminal rather than T1 or T2. Corporate and private jets land at North Field, the original 1927 airfield on the north side, where OAK lets permitted limousines pick up as well. Give us the terminal or FBO and the car goes there.
Rides from OAK and drive times
Miles are by road. The minutes assume no traffic, so add time at rush hour, when westbound Bay Bridge backups can reach back through the MacArthur Maze.
- Oakland Arena and the Coliseum: 3.8 miles, about 9 minutes without traffic.
- Downtown Oakland: 9.8 miles, about 16 minutes.
- UC Berkeley: 15 miles, about 28 minutes.
- Moscone Center, San Francisco: 19.2 miles, about 30 minutes.
- Union Square, San Francisco: 19.7 miles, about 32 minutes.
- Bishop Ranch, San Ramon: 23.9 miles, about 34 minutes.
- Walnut Creek: 23.1 miles, about 35 minutes.
- Downtown Napa: 50.7 miles, about 68 minutes.
The westbound Bay Bridge toll applies on the way into San Francisco.
Car service from OAK for work, family trips and wine country
Business travel. A sedan from Terminal 1 to a meeting at Bishop Ranch, Pleasanton or a downtown Oakland office, with the ride back to OAK booked at the same time. Extra stops are added to the fare.
Families and groups. A Sprinter seats up to 14 with room for up to 14 bags, so one vehicle covers a family reunion or a team offsite.
Concerts and conventions. Moscone Center and Chase Center are both about 20 miles across the bridge, and the Henry J. Kaiser Center in Oakland reopened after its renovation. An hourly booking keeps the car with you until the night ends.
Napa and Sonoma. Downtown Napa is a little over an hour from OAK without traffic, so a wine-country day can start at the airport.
Vehicles for OAK pickups
- Executive sedan: up to 3 passengers.
- Luxury SUV: up to 5.
- Mercedes Sprinter: up to 14, with up to 14 bags.
- Mini coach: 27 to 36.
- Motorcoach: up to 56.
Capacity is confirmed in your quote.

Limo SF vip I highly recommend itPosted on Google Benjamin RudinskiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I worked with Igor and Limo SF VIP for our wedding. They did an absolutely amazing job. They provided both a luxury sprinter van to carry the bridal party and groomsmen to a first look sight at the busy palace of fine arts and then to the venue and provided luxury ~50-person bus for guests to leave venue. All of the drivers were responsive, and kind. At the end of the night the bus driver even spent an extra ~30 minutes driving the late-night party crew to several different bars after some we intended to go were closed. Overall, 6/5 service. Their prices are fair, and the team is wonderful to work with. I'd highly recommend Limo SF VIP to anyone looking for coach, private limo, or large party needs.Posted on Google Viviana MárquezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent service! As I was boarding my flight on my way to SFO I was able to book and confirm the service last minute, so quickly. Our driver waited for us by baggage claim and helped us out with our numerous bags. The car was also fabulous! Oakland airport car service questions
Look for your name on a sign inside the terminal, not outside. Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport doesn't post a named curb for limousines, and the 3rd Curb sections marked 3C2 to 3C9 belong to app rideshare, so standing there won't help. The airport lets prearranged drivers come in and meet their passengers, which is how our chauffeurs work at OAK: the car is parked, the chauffeur walks in, finds you, takes the heavy bags and walks you out to where the vehicle is loaded.
Your chauffeur adjusts to Southwest's new time, so there's nothing to rebook. The clock for free waiting starts at whatever arrival time the airline posts, and you get 40 minutes from that point at no charge. If you're still not out after that, each extra 15 minutes is charged at your vehicle's hourly rate. One OAK detail to pass along: Southwest flies from both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, so check the terminal on your updated itinerary and tell us if it differs from the booking.
It can, so flag the international arrival when you book. Free waiting is 40 minutes counted from the posted arrival, the same as for domestic flights, and a slow passport line plus checked bags can use up most of it. OAK's ground-transport rules have the chauffeur carry a trip record listing the airline, flight number, scheduled arrival and your name, so we work from the actual flight. If customs runs long, call us so we know where things stand; time beyond the free 40 minutes is billed in 15-minute increments.
Each one picks up in a different place. Taxis load at OAK's own designated taxicab area, run with a starter booth. App rides go to the 3rd Curb, Sections 3C2 to 3C9, and the price is set by the app when you request it. A booked car is arranged before you fly: you get a quote ahead of time, and the chauffeur meets you inside the terminal and handles luggage. The airport keeps these permits separate, so a limo driver can't also hold a taxi permit there.
An app shows its fare when you request the ride, and you catch it on the 3rd Curb. A private car is priced in writing before you fly, based on a short list: which vehicle you choose, how far you're going (downtown Oakland is under 10 road miles from OAK, Union Square close to 20), any extra stops on the way, and time the chauffeur spends inside after the 40 free minutes run out. On top of that sits a 20% gratuity, worked out on the base fare plus those extras and printed as a separate line.
Yes, if the bags are modest. A Sprinter seats 14 and takes up to 14 bags, so twelve riders should plan on about one large suitcase each. Downtown Napa is 50.7 road miles from OAK, about 68 minutes without traffic, heading north on I-80 and then up Highway 29. If part of your group lands at Terminal 2 on Southwest and the rest at Terminal 1, we can plan the van to collect at one terminal and then the other. Tell us the wineries and we'll quote hourly or as a one-way transfer.
About half an hour to the San Francisco spots and a bit less to Berkeley, before traffic. From the airport, Moscone Center is 19.2 miles, about 30 minutes without traffic; Union Square is 19.7 miles, about 32; Chase Center is 20.5 miles, about 33. All three go up I-880 and over the Bay Bridge, where the toll is collected westbound. UC Berkeley is 15 miles, about 28 minutes. Weekday mornings, westbound bridge traffic can back up through the MacArthur Maze, so leave extra room for a morning session.
On a Sunday the train isn't an option that early: OAK says BART runs from 8 a.m. on Sundays (5 a.m. weekdays, 6 a.m. Saturdays). For the car, we set the pickup with you from your airline's check-in and bag-drop cutoff, then add the drive. From Union Square that's about 32 minutes without traffic, about 16 from downtown Oakland. Tell us which terminal you're flying from, 1 or 2, because the approach road splits: right lanes for Terminal 1, left lanes for Terminal 2.
Ask for one when you book, and we'll confirm whether it can be arranged for that ride; it isn't guaranteed. If you'd rather bring your own seat and check it with the airline, the chauffeur meets you inside OAK, helps collect the seat with the rest of the bags and lets you fit it at the vehicle before you set off. OAK doesn't let drivers leave cars unattended at the curb, so the install happens where the car is loaded, not at the doors.
Send the traveler's name, airline, flight number and the meeting address, and the quote usually lands in 15 to 30 minutes. Payment goes through a secure online link once you accept, and Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover all work. Bishop Ranch in San Ramon is 23.9 miles from OAK, about 34 minutes without traffic, so a morning arrival and an afternoon return fit in one day. Use the passenger's own name on the booking; that's the name on the chauffeur's sign.
No, they're different airports on opposite sides of the bay. OAK is in Oakland, off I-880 at 98th Avenue; SFO is south of San Francisco on the peninsula, roughly 31 road miles from OAK. Oakland's airport took the name Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport on July 24, 2025, and its code stayed OAK. Before that it went by Oakland International. Check the code on your ticket before you book a car, because a chauffeur sent to the wrong airport costs you the better part of an hour.
BART works well for light luggage and a station near your destination. The OAK connector leaves from across the Terminal 1 baggage claim and reaches Coliseum station in 8 minutes, with trains about every 6 minutes most hours, and AC Transit Line 73 also runs to Coliseum. A car makes more sense with kids, heavy bags, a group, an early flight, or a stop that's a long walk from any station, such as Bishop Ranch or a Napa hotel. It goes door to door with no transfer at Coliseum.
