Limo SF VIP arranges limo hire, limousine rental and chauffeur car service in Columbia, South Carolina: sedans from Columbia Metropolitan Airport to the State House and the Vista hotels, wedding limos for a reception at 701 Whaley, a Sprinter van for a Gamecock Saturday at Williams-Brice, and family transport for Fort Jackson graduation week. Rides in Columbia are run by vetted local partner operators that we book and support. Tell us the date, the pickup and how many are riding, and you'll have a written quote in 15 to 30 minutes.
Getting around Columbia
Columbia is where I-20, I-26 and I-77 meet, and the airport sits southwest of town across the Congaree: Columbia Metropolitan (CAE) is about 7.6 miles and 12 minutes from downtown. The two Lincoln Street venues, Colonial Life Arena at 801 and the Convention Center at 1101, are a short walk from the Vista hotels. Williams-Brice Stadium is out on George Rogers Boulevard at Bluff Road, beside the State Fairgrounds at 1200 Rosewood Drive, and Fort Jackson, the Army's largest basic-training post, is on the east side of the city.
Plan around two local realities. The first is the interstate work at Malfunction Junction, where I-20, I-26 and I-126 come together: the Carolina Crossroads project runs until about 2030, mostly overnight and on weekends, which is when a lot of airport and event rides happen. The second is the calendar: seven Gamecock home Saturdays each fall, eleven days of State Fair in October, and a Fort Jackson graduation most Thursdays of the year.
Airport car service and limo transportation from Columbia Metropolitan Airport
At CAE the limousine and black-car pickup is on the lower level by baggage claim, outside the doors to the left of the rental car counters, so the chauffeur meets you there, or inside at the carousel if you ask for that on the quote. The upper curb allows five minutes and no more. Charlotte Douglas (95 miles, about 1 hour 40), Charleston (108 miles), GSP (101 miles) and Atlanta (219 miles, about 3 hours 45) are quoted as single trips in a sedan, SUV or Sprinter.
Wedding limos, game days and executive travel in Columbia
Wedding limos. A sedan or SUV for the couple and a Sprinter for the wedding party, between a downtown ceremony, a reception at 701 Whaley or the Lace House on Arsenal Hill, and the hotels on Lincoln and Gervais.
Gamecock Saturdays and concerts. An hourly charter to Williams-Brice (77,559 seats) keeps one chauffeur with your group from the drop-off on Bluff Road through the game and back to Five Points or the Vista. The same format covers Colonial Life Arena concerts and USC basketball.
Executive and government travel. Sedans between CAE and the State House, the BlueCross BlueShield campus off I-20, Prisma Health Richland, or the Scout Motors offices in the BullStreet District, with the return leg booked at the same time.
Fort Jackson families and day trips. Thursday-morning graduations at Hilton Field with Family Day the Wednesday before, and Sprinter days to Lake Murray, the Lexington and Cayce breweries, or Augusta in Masters week.
Vehicles available through our Columbia partners
Executive sedans (up to 3 passengers), luxury SUVs (up to 5), Mercedes Sprinter vans (up to 14), party buses and stretch limousines sized to your group, and mini coaches and motorcoaches (27 to 56) for graduation families, game days or corporate groups. Exact capacity is confirmed in your quote, because partner vehicles vary.

My wife and I worked with Igor and Limo SF VIP for our wedding. They did an absolutely amazing job. They provided both a luxury sprinter van to carry the bridal party and groomsmen to a first look sight at the busy palace of fine arts and then to the venue and provided luxury ~50-person bus for guests to leave venue. All of the drivers were responsive, and kind. At the end of the night the bus driver even spent an extra ~30 minutes driving the late-night party crew to several different bars after some we intended to go were closed. Overall, 6/5 service. Their prices are fair, and the team is wonderful to work with. I'd highly recommend Limo SF VIP to anyone looking for coach, private limo, or large party needs.Posted on Google![]()

Excellent service! As I was boarding my flight on my way to SFO I was able to book and confirm the service last minute, so quickly. Our driver waited for us by baggage claim and helped us out with our numerous bags. The car was also fabulous! Arriving to SF in style!Posted on Google![]()

Columbia limo and car service questions
The lower-level baggage claim doors to the left of the rental car counters: that is the airport’s posted pickup point for limousine and black-car services, and your quote confirms it. The upper curb at CAE is for immediate loading only, and a vehicle stopped there longer than five minutes gets a photo-enforcement ticket, so the chauffeur waits at that posted point rather than on the curb. With the flight number on the booking, a late landing simply moves the meeting time; downtown is about 7.6 miles and 12 minutes away.
Only when the fare or the schedule makes it worth 95 miles on I-77. CAE has nonstops to Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, Washington and Miami, so most trips connect from here. When they don't, Charlotte Douglas is about 1 hour 40 away, Charleston 108 miles and about 1 hour 50, GSP 101 miles, and Atlanta 219 miles and roughly 3 hours 45. We quote all four as a single trip in a sedan, SUV or Sprinter, so you can weigh the fare saving against the hours in the car.
Book an hourly charter and let the chauffeur handle it. Williams-Brice holds 77,559 and sits at 1174 George Rogers Boulevard, next to the State Fairgrounds, so one vehicle dropping you near the gate and waiting for the final whistle beats a convoy of cars. The remaining 2026 home dates are Tennessee on October 24, Texas A&M on November 7 and Georgia on November 21. The Tennessee game falls inside the State Fair, October 15 to 25 at 1200 Rosewood Drive, so that Saturday’s pickup corner, off Rosewood and Bluff, goes on the quote.
The next ones are Monday, December 14, 2026, at 2 pm, then Friday, May 7, 2027, at 11 am and 4 pm, and Saturday, May 8, 2027, at 10 am and 3 pm, all at Colonial Life Arena, 801 Lincoln Street. The law school graduates on the Horseshoe at 8:30 am on May 7, and the December doctoral hooding is at the Koger Center. Families flying into CAE for those days should book the airport transfer and the ceremony ride together, and reserve early, since four ceremonies in two days fill the Vista hotels.
Yes. BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina’s campus is on the northeast side off I-20, Prisma Health Richland is on the north side, and Scout Motors is building its plant in Blythewood, about 18 miles and 20 minutes up I-77, while its production and supply-chain teams work from temporary offices in the BullStreet District until vehicles start in late 2027. A sedan or SUV from CAE is quoted as a single trip. If the visit runs from BullStreet to Blythewood and back in one day, book it hourly so one chauffeur covers every stop.
Yes. Fort Jackson trains about half of all new Army soldiers, and more than 100,000 family members come to the Midlands for graduations each year. Family Day is usually Wednesday at 9 am and graduation Thursday morning at Hilton Field. A chauffeured vehicle enters through the post’s visitor gate like any private car, so each adult rider registers their own visitor pass before the trip. Entry rules are the post’s and they change, so confirm them with your soldier’s unit. A Tuesday CAE transfer and a Thursday lunch ride can go on one quote.
Mostly the vehicle’s size, how long you book it and the date, with every vehicle carrying a floor of hours it can’t go below; a Charlotte Douglas run is the exception, billed as one fare. Saturday nights cost the most, as do prom and wedding season, so book a Gamecock home Saturday or a USC graduation weekend early. Nothing is owed at the curb: the 20% gratuity is printed as its own line. Columbia requests are usually priced and answered within 15 to 30 minutes.
Look the company up on the Public Service Commission website, where applications are public, or call ORS at (803) 737-0800. A prearranged, hourly limousine seating up to 15 holds a Class C charter certificate; 16 seats or more needs a charter bus certificate instead. Before either is issued, an ORS inspector checks every vehicle and driver file, the insurer files a Form E in the company name on the PSC order, and each vehicle is registered with ORS yearly. Your Columbia ride is run by a local partner operator.
We call you before the chauffeur leaves. Columbia gets freezing rain more often than snow, and the city closed its offices on January 26, 2026, after freezing rain the day before. The ramps at Malfunction Junction ice before the roads do, so if freezing rain is on the way we offer an earlier start or a different day, and the chauffeur decides on the morning whether I-26 or I-20 is drivable. Your quote carries the weather and cancellation terms that apply to the booking, so you know the rules before the first flake.
It can, mostly at night and on weekends. Carolina Crossroads is rebuilding the I-20, I-26 and I-126 interchange, the largest road project in the state’s history, through about 2030. In 2026 the I-20 widening between Bush River Road and US 378 starts, and from 2027 the I-26 and I-126 interchange itself is rebuilt. SCDOT schedules the closures overnight and on weekends, exactly when early flights and event rides run, so for a CAE departure we build the current closures into the pickup time on your quote instead of guessing on the morning.
Yes, because it runs nearly every week. Fort Jackson graduates a new class most Thursdays, with Family Day on Wednesday, so give a midweek pickup some notice. Layer the one-off dates on top: Gamecock home Saturdays through Georgia on November 21, 2026, the State Fair from October 15 to 25, USC commencement on December 14 and May 7 and 8, St. Pat’s in Five Points in mid-March, and Masters week in Augusta each April, 70 miles down I-20. On those dates reserve the vehicle the day your plans are fixed.
Yes. A 14-passenger Sprinter covers it as an hourly charter. Riverbanks Zoo and Garden at 500 Wildlife Parkway keeps about 3,000 animals and a botanical garden of roughly 5,700 plant varieties, open 9 am to 5 pm, so a family group can spend the morning there. Lake Murray’s shoreline is about 28 miles west for an afternoon by the water. Send us the stops in the order you want them and we’ll put the route and the hours on the quote.
